Attending the bride were maid of honor Jana Fare, sister of the bride; matron of honor Tracy Brown, sister of the groom; bridesmaids Stephanie Fare, sister-in-law of the bride and friends Cassio Sachse, Dawn Young, and Jennifer Whitley. The ladies were attired in hunter green ankle length gowns with em- pire waist, scoop neck and short sleeves. To finish the dress, four hand made rose buds attached to the Mr. and Mrs. Cari Sue Fare and Jeremy Dean Riggan exchanged wedding vows before James Riggan, the groom's father, on April 11, 1998, at Rocky Butte Church of the Nazarene on the Bridgeport Bar. Mike Fare of Dallas, Texas, and Judy Fare of Brewster are parents of the bride. James and Barbara Riggan, Brewster, are parents of the groom. The bride's gown was off the shoulder with short sleeves and full skirt. Appliqued pearls and Re- waistline on the back of each dress. They carried a long stem calla lily. Their gowns were made by Mary Lou Drury, friend of the bride. JeTTed Riggan, cousin of the groom was best man. Michael Riggan, brother of the groom, Kirby Brown, brother-in-law of the groom, and friends John Pettit, Kevin Young and BaH'on Sachse were groomsmen. Merissa Fare and Tiffany Fare, cousins of the bride, were flower girls and Michael Taylor, cousin of the groom, was ringbearer. Steven Riggan, brother of the groom, played all the ceremonial music and accompanied soloists Tracy Brown, Barbara Riggan, Jeremy Riggan and a duet by Tracy Brown and Michael Riggan. A reception followed at the New Testament Baptist Church fellow- ship hall decorated with balloons and floating candles on each table. The four tiered cake was deco- rated with blue and green rose buds, and a heart-shaped, glass blown cake topper. Carol Moore, Chrissy Goble, Diane Young and Kristina Yo.ung served the cake and punch. The couple honeymooned at Sun Mountain Lodge and Bennett Bay Resort in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The bride is a 1992 graduate of North Bend High School in Or- egon and attended South West- ern Oregon Community College in Oregon. The groom graduated from Brewster High School in 1992 and attended Spokane Community Col- lege then joining the Air Force National Guard for six years. Both are employed in Wenatchee with plans to continue their edu- cation. Daughter visits here Visiting family and friends in Brewster over the long Thanksgiv- ing weekend was Dana Swezey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She stayed with herparents Betty and Phil Swezey at their Paradise Hill home. Activities included a shopping trip on Friday, seeing friends, sledding, and a family get together Sunday at Betty and Phil's. Holiday dinner at Karen Knapp' s Karen Knapp of Bridgeport hosted three of her children and their fami- lies for Thanksgiving dinner. Kelly and Char Knapp, Nicole, Levi, Eli and Eric, and Joel all of the Monse ranch and Anthony Verdino from Vancouver, Washington, a friend of Joel's. Joel's wife S heree and daugh- ters spent the holiday with her fam- ily in Pasco. David and Becky (Knapp) Anderson from Alger brought two granddaughters from Orondo, Carly and Jordan Anderson. A walk to Berryman Park to ful- fill the family tradition of playing touch football followed dinner. The women and younger children played on the p!ayground equipment. Pie and other games later on com'pleted the "fun" day. Home for the holiday Thanksgiving brought Nelson family members home for the holiday. Enjoying three days with Geor- gia and Dave in Brewster were Sheri Nelson and friend Patrick Brem of Seattle and Darlene and lan Brownies, Chelsea and Alex of Yakima. Former resident visits Dorothy Kline of Brewster had a surprise visit this past Monday from former Brewster resident and neighbor Bill Weaver now of Monument, Colorado. Bill, who left Brewster about 20 years ago, enjoyed a walk through the neigh- borhood and reminiscing with Dorothy. Visit family here for holidays Coming from Presser to be with family in the Quad City area for the holiday were Shelly and Cody Swearingen, Derek and Evans. They stayed with Shelly's mother Steila Brown and also visited Cody's parents Chuck and Carol Swearingen on the Bridgeport Bar. Thanksgiving was spent at the home of Lori and Mike Brown, Heath and Brianna. Joining the group were Lori's parents Spider and Ethel Riggan. In the evening Corey and Brenda Riggan, Hunter and Rileigh stopped by to visit. Elsner family gathers Hank and Barb Eisner of Brewster entertained family over the holi- day weekend. Here from Lake Stevens was son Steve Eisner and family, from Bellingham daugh- ters Karla Buckingham and fam- ily and Kathy and Grog Anable and from Maple Falls nephew David Teshera. Playing games, visiting, eat- ing, baking Christmas cookies were weekend activities with the highlight being a birthday celebration for seven year old granddaughter Jenny Eisner. Horald Cooper family gathers Colleen and Tom Muller, Megan andAmyofWindom, Minnesota, were in Brewster this past week to visit with her parents Cat and Mary cooper and enjoy the holiday. Joining them for a few days at Thanksgiving were Craig and Becky Cooper, Emily and Caleb from Richland and Carla and Jeff Sowder, Nicholas and Laurel of Vancouver, Washington. Thirty-three sat down for Thanks- giving dinner including Blaine and Virginia Madden (Virginia prepared most of the meal), Becky GobbeTS and her family, Paul and Janice Mad- den and family, and Gail Crittenden all of Brewster, David Madden of West Richland, and Theresa and David Breckel of Bellevue. Family gathering at Haltermans Family gathered fora holiday cel- ebration at the Bridgeport home of Lynn and Rick Halterman. The couple's mothers lla Halterman and Halene Garret were there from Quincy. From Mar.sfield daughter Kelli and Marry, Cassi and Lucas, and Rick's sisters haron and Earl Eisenrich and family came from Spokane. Andi Halterman and friendTom Asmussen dropped by later for a visit and pump- kin pie. A day of family sharing Thanksgiving day at the Brewster home of Tammy and William Gaibraith, Amber, Haley, Jeremy and Cynthia was shared with great grandparents Ernie and Effie Edson also of Brewster and Tammy's sis- ter Dawn Tyner and son Timothy of Spokane. Watching movies, eating turkey, catching up on family news made a fun day. Gather for dinner at Sampsons Holiday visitors at the home of Dot and Sonny Sampson were daugh- ter Susie Welch, Kyle, Neil, and Lexi of Edmonds and Evan Sampson of Seattle. Leah Wagg and Nell Tarbell of BrewsterandAnn and Robin Wagg, Steve and Sam of East Wenatchee joined the group for Thanksgiving dinner. December 3_ lgg8 Paas ,q To daughter's house they went Gene and HaTless Brisbois traveled to Spokane to celebrate Thanks- giving with daughter Pare and Sam Moore. Joining in on the family festivities were Moore's son Travis and Charity Moore, Brad and Tyler from Orofino, Idaho. After returning home Sunday, Brisbois' received the "exciting" news that granddaughter Emily Barker of Battleground partici- pated in the Holiday Cup Soccer Games in Seattle with her team taking first place in the 12 year old division. Roys family gathers Travelling to Brewster for the Thanksgiving holiday were Tom and Nadine Roys, Chelsea and Katrina of Arlington. They stayed with his parents Walt and Arlene Roys. Joining the families for turkey dinner were Dianne and Paul Johnson, Joshua, Jason, Justin, Jessica, and Jonathon, and Debbi and Lee Joyner, Kaely, Kara, Kyle and Kandice. The fun of being together, visit- ing, eating, and playing games kept all busy. Visiting this week with the Arlene and Walt are friends Eric and Jean Half hill from Yakima. Thanksgiving visitors David Holmes of Okanogan and James and Molly Holmes of Se- attle joined Ed and Io Homes last Friday for a day of thanksgiving, visiting and turkey. Bowman family dinner Dan Bowman and friend Lori ,Barton of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, were holiday visitors at the Brewster home of his parents Glenn and Gloria Bowman. They joined family and friends for Thanksgiving dinner at the home of Larry and Theresa Bow- man, Philip and Lareasa, who was home from WSU bringing with her Tim Brown, a cousin to Art Brown. Also there, Robert and Glenda Bowman and family from Coulee Dam, and from Paradise Hill Cindy and Art Brown and family and Tim Bowman and family and friend Nick.
