SCHILLING Ray C. Schilling, 85, of Kennewick, Washington, went to be with the Lord on June 15,1998, at the Kennewick Life Care Center. Ray was born on January 30, 1913, in Mansfield, Washington, to Carl and Alice Schilling, a pioneering family on a wheat farm. He graduated from Mansfield High in 1932 with honors and a salutatorian, and then went on to school where he studied diesel mechanics for three years. Ray was a Grand Master Manson in the Masonic Temple in Mansfield, a 60 year member of the Mansfield Grange, a Shriner for 50 years. Ray Schilling was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all who entered his presence. He enjoyed the Seattle Mariners, working in the lodge with members, visits from friends and family, and most of all the company of his beloved wife as they traveled the world. Ray is survived by his wife Henrietta of 37 years; his daughter Susan Hulburt, son-in-law Roy, his two granddaughters Debra Jones and husband Robert, Cheryl Hulburt and fiance Jeremy Gillespie, four great grandchildren Brittany, Derrick, Mikaela and Nicole at! of Kennewick, Washington; nieces and nephews Vieky and Ross McCormick of Spokane, Steve McCormick of Wenatchee, Nick and Gay Drenski of Yuma, Arizona, Loren and Maralyn Clark of Bellevue, Glen Schilling of Seattle, and many other nieces and nephews. Ray was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Alice Schilling, brothers Veal Schilling and Percy Clark and wife Ann. Graveside services will be held Friday, June 19, 1998, at 2:00 p.m. in Mansfield. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ray C. Schilling to the Shrine in Spokane and the Tri-Cities Chaplaincy.
